Do we really give a thought on the little gestures we come across in our day to day life? A positive nod or an accepting smile! A high-five or the hug! Every sweet gesture brings out a smile. Holding hands are one such common gesture we miss out giving a thought about! How many of you controlled your anger when someone held your hand between the fight?

One incident made me think of how holding hands can really make someone feel better.

Being an early bird, Starting my day early is just my thing! At 7:05 sun shimmerd glowing light, crispy air brushed my hair. I got into my regular Volvo bus with medium cool AC.

With the loud sound of my heels, I took long steps to get the last window seat left, but to my luck, a girl ahead me sat on my favourite third last row window seat. Blaming my luck, I sat beside her staring at the window. The girl was lost in her thoughts, looking dull. I myself assumed as the famous Monday blues. Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned breaking my thoughts and with a smile, the lady conductor asked for my bus pass. I showed her my ID card and pass with usual searching for whole 1 min. Later took out my tangled earphones with one missing earbud.

Played my all-time favourite Punjabi song to cheer up my mood. The girl next to me stared at me, then I realised I was humming loud! Keeping the volume low played another song and started looking at the window. The raindrops were falling one by one racing with each other.

I observed the girl next to me sobbing from window reflection. Tears rolled down her eyes and she was thinking something deep. Yes, she was going through some pain. I saw her biting tears. I turned other side just not to embarrass her by staring at her. I wanted to make her feel better. I offered her some water. I just held her hand gently. Rubbed her palm conveying everything will be alright. She held my hand tight and started weeping to bring out her emotions. She was controlling her tears. She didn’t utter a word. After a few mins, she loosened grip and said thank you. I rubbed her back gently and got up. And yes i took my water bottle back!!:p. She had a soft smile and said bye. Holding hand has so much power. No words could have made her better than holding a hand. You never know what someone is going through.

Action speaks louder than words. Have you ever mentioned about how you felt when someone held your hand?

How many of you felt better when someone held your hand when you are going through a rough phase?

Has anyone stretched their hand to help you while you try catching a bus?

Ever experienced a little infant holding ur finger tightly with its little palm and refusing to leave?

Ever experienced some stranger holding your hand tight while crossing the road?

Has anyone gave u support while you are tired getting upstairs!?

Has anyone stretched their hand when u fell down!?

Have you ever helped an old lady to take step in temple!?

Am sure everyone has experienced at least one thing from above but never really gave a thought on it!!

Little thankful to the unknowing gesture which we really don’t give a thought on!
